About the Designer

Abigail Boateng, known as Abiboat, is the creative force behind YarnYard, a brand rooted in elegance, culture, and craftsmanship.

Originally from Ghana’s Ashanti Region, she draws inspiration from a heritage deeply connected to the artistry of Kente weaving. This cultural influence shapes her design perspective, inspiring her to create pieces that seamlessly blend tradition with modern sophistication.

Her Journey

Abigail’s love for fashion began at a young age, driven by a natural passion for creativity and self-expression. What started as a childhood interest has evolved into a lifelong pursuit of excellence in design.

She refined her craft at the JACCD Design Institute Africa (formerly Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design), where she built a strong foundation in garment construction, structure, and innovative design techniques.
